August 2018- Present

  • Senior project management, analysis and feasibility related to commuter transportation as part of the Sunnyside Yard Master Plan effort

  • Co-lead of an interagency project team focused on identifying opportunities for increased public transit capacity, operations and economic development on projects throughout New York City

  • Continued relationship management with City agencies and MTA (NYCT) in project planning for the Temporary Ferry Service as partial mitigation for suspended service of the L-Train, beginning in 2019 (Canarsie Tunnel Rehabilitation Project)

  • Brainchild behind the Hindsight Conference, which focuses on urban planning through an equity lens. This first annual conference was held in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Buchanan v. Warley decision to invalidate zoning based upon race

  • Hosted over 400 attendees from across New York City, New Jersey, Boston, Detroit, Baltimore, London, Bermuda and 40 participants who live-streamed the event

  • Secured the conference budget, additional sponsorship, event location and keynote speakers; Coordinated all catering, printed materials and audio visual and IT teams

January 2016 - Present

  • Liaison between NYCEDC and MTA in project planning and agency coordination for the Temporary Ferry Service as partial mitigation for suspended service of the L-Train (Canarsie Tunnel Rehabilitation Project)

  • Project lead for the College Point Corporate Park Transportation Study—a study that develops recommendations for problematic roadway infrastructure and improved commercial and residential transportation networks related to College Point Corporate Park

  • Continued relationship management for Phase II of Brooklyn Queens Connector (BQX) project consultants, city agencies and City Hall

  • Continued project lead and coordination for the North Shore TIS

 

New York City Economic Development Corporation, Project Manager               New York, NY

August  2015 - January 2016

  • Project manager for Phase I of the Brooklyn Queens Connector (BQX). The BQX is a $2.5 billion streetcar project proposed to provide efficient, north-south public transportation connections along the Brooklyn and Queens waterfront

  • NYCEDC liaison to multi-disciplinary agency teams in order to facilitate planning and data analysis for the completion of Phase I of the BQX project

  • Project lead for the North Shore Staten Island Transportation Improvement Strategy (TIS)—a fourteen-month long project which recommended improvements for all modes of transportation within the North Shore of Staten Island

  • As project lead for the TIS, facilitated coordination between NYC Department of Transportation and NYC Department of City Planning across various departments for each agency

  • Lead community-focused outreach efforts for the TIS which included presentations to local elected officials, civic organizations, inter-agency visioning sessions, and collaborative site visits
